My name is Jennifer Louise Patuknak Bentz and I am a Inupiaq woman from Kaktovik, Alaska. Moved to Norway with my family and been here since. Went to glass school in Orrefors, Sweden and lately have been beading and making jewellery from bones and other materials from my trips to Alaska as well as studying plant medicine. Would have to thank my mother for letting me get into her beads at a very early age. Been beading since I was five or something. Also a special thanks to my babysitter Lottie Kaveolook for perfecting my beading and showing me different techniques and starting me off with my own collection of beads.
